DUALITY 2 is a visual probe into the essence of opposites on an 80 × 80 cm (31.5 × 31.5 in) canvas. The centerpiece of the entire composition is the central symbol of a double spiral, which serves as the key to deciphering the whole piece. In it, the artist captures duality in its purest form:

• The Rounded Line: Represents the organic side of existence—emotions, intuition, fluidity, and the softness of the human interior. It is an elemental force that ripples naturally, seeking its path without coercion.

• The Sharp-edged Line: Represents the rational world—logic, structure, rules, and boundaries. With its sharpness, it introduces a system into the chaos, while simultaneously creating tension and defining limits.

These two forces are inextricably intertwined in the center of the painting. They do not exclude each other; instead, they create a dynamic vortex that drives the entire composition toward the edges of the canvas.

This internal struggle is set within an energetic framework. The rich red background symbolizes the vital stage of life, while the blue geometric structures act as anchors of reality, attempting to contain the spiral’s expansion within a certain form. The surrounding symbols—arrows pointing in various directions and fragments of hearts—only confirm the complexity of our decision-making amidst the tangle of rational demands and emotional desires.
